Elderly

Do not cast me off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength is spent. (Psalms 71:9)

The vulnerable are at the heart of Caritas Singapore. These members of our social mission family dedicate their cause to addressing the physical, emotional, and mental needs of the elderly community through the provision of services such as medical and palliative care, befriending services, and nursing homes.

Caritas Singapore and our member organisations are dedicated to serving the most vulnerable members of the community, and the elderly are at the forefront of our social mission. The organisation recognises the unique challenges faced by older individuals, including declining health, loneliness, and limited resources, and works tirelessly to provide comprehensive support that addresses both their physical and emotional needs. Our member organisations offer a range of services specifically designed to support the elderly, including medical and palliative care to help manage chronic health conditions, befriending services to alleviate loneliness and provide companionship, and nursing homes that offer 24-hour care and support. The organisation is committed to ensuring that the elderly have access to the resources they need to live with dignity and independence and is proud to serve as a trusted and compassionate partner to the senior members of their community. Whether it's providing practical support or simply offering a listening ear, the Caritas Singapore family is committed to meeting the needs of the vulnerable elderly with care and compassion.
