The mission of Morning Star Community Services (MSCS) is to strengthen family relationships in Singapore through upstream and preventive work. By empowering individuals and families, we strive to build vibrant communities that can make a difference to society.

Our programmes focus on children and parent-child relationships as a cohesive family is the building block of a strong and harmonious Singapore.

Programmes and services provided by MSCS include:

  • After-school Care Services – we support the needs of families who require supervision and guidance for their primary school going children after school hours
  • NOVA Learning Intervention Programme – an early intervention programme targeting at P1 and P2 students with social emotional challenges
  • Care Nights® – a free evening drop-in service to support families in need who require care for their children at night
  • Workshops and Training – we offer evidence-based parenting workshops which aim to empower families by offering them skills and knowledge to strengthen family relationships
  • Counselling - MSCS provides counselling therapy services to children, adolescents and adults, using various therapeutic approaches. We offer face-to-face counselling and online counselling

Every year, Caritas Singapore assesses the needs of its member organisations to fund programmes that serve our brothers and sisters in need. Our grant allocation takes into consideration funding gaps for underserved needs, the social mission organisation’s funding priorities, and the effectiveness and measurable impact of the charity’s programmes and services. All grant distribution decisions are announced in our annual report.
