The Catholic Social Teaching (CST) shapes the foundation of Caritas Singapore’s work for the community. C4C, an important Catholic social teaching, tells us that we are all stewards of the Earth. We are responsible for taking care of the world we live in and ensure that Earth’s resources are shared equitably.
During the Laudato Si’ Week in May 2015, the call to exercise our stewardship was reinforced.
Pope Francis asked, “What kind of world do we want to leave to those who will come after us?”
Caritas Singapore responded by embarking on a journey to raise awareness and support our community towards eco-friendly practices, marking the beginning of our C4C story.
Today, Caritas Singapore continues to run enrichment and outreach activities, seminars, and public education campaigns to champion action for C4C in line with Pope Francis Laudato Si and promote knowledge on how we can all do our part in Caring for our Common Home.
