Executive, Philanthropy & Partnerships

Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Develop and nurture donor relationships while driving fundraising efforts.
  • Plan and execute fundraising events and campaigns, ensuring alignment with Caritas Singapore’s resource development objectives.
  • Oversee logistics, vendor partnerships and event operations to guarantee seamless execution.
  • Support budget management for events and campaigns, while contributing to canvassing efforts.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute event and campaign communications.
  • Track and report on fundraising and event outcomes, offering insights for future improvements.
  •  Manage donor processing and database systems, ensuring accurate records, timely processing of contributions and reporting.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in planning and executing fundraising events, with experience in donor cultivation and relationship building, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Experience with budget management for events and campaigns.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Some familiarity with donor management and CRM systems.
  • Ability to analyse and report on event and fundraising performance.
  • Passion for philanthropy and the Caritas mission.

Executive, Care for Creation

Roles and Responsibilities 

Care for Creation

Collaborate closely with the Sustainability Committee team in reaching out to various parishes in Singapore to raise awareness, adopt and practise environmentally conscious operations procedures align with Catholic Social Teachings.

  • Assist to develop sustainability presentation materials.
  • Provide research on sustainability related matters, including monitoring and reporting of emerging sustainability trends, regulations etc.
  • Plan and execute various sustainability projects, and track sustainability performance.
  • Serve as a liaison between internal and community partners including Archdiocese, in all matters relating to environmental / sustainability issues.
  • Secretariat to the Care for Creation committee.
  • Support the administrative needs of the Care for Creation committee.

Formation

  • Support Caritas Singapore and Formation Committee in development and execution of Catholic Social Teaching programmes and events.
  • Support Young Adults Committee in planning and executing events to promote the Church’s mission among young adults Catholics.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Degree in Environmental studies, Sustainability or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in sustainability, research or project management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Executive, Membership & Community Relations to join our dynamic team. This individual will play a pivotal role in enhancing Caritas Singapore’s presence, reputation, and impact through strategic public relations, communication, and marketing initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Manage, develop, and establish stronger relationships with member organisations in the Caritas Singapore Family through various means, including but not limited to meetings and field visits.
  • Design and implement programmes and events that foster greater collaboration and networking across various stakeholders (with emphasis on member organisations in the Caritas Singapore Family).
  • Work with potential and existing member organisations in the Caritas Singapore Family on all matters relating to Membership in Caritas, including, but not limited to processing and evaluating membership application and status for affiliations and associates.
  • Provide secretariat support to the Caritas Singapore Membership Committee.
  • Provide support on projects/tasks as assigned by the Membership Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in (but not limited to) Social Work, Business Administration, Communications, Marketing
  • Fresh graduates may apply
  • 1-2 years of work experience in project management, relationship building, or social service would be an advantage
  • Understand the importance of relationship building, management, and sustainability.
  • Communicate well as the scope will require coordination and communication across stakeholders.
  • Able to work independently and also be able to work in a team for internal and external collaboration.
  • Understand the importance of meticulous and timely upkeep and management of key admin documents and the entire repository and is digitally savvy.
  • Is structured, has an eye for details, and the ability to multi-task on a reasonable timeline.

Manager, PR & Marcomms

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Manager, PR & Marcomms, to join our dynamic team. This individual will play a pivotal role in enhancing Caritas Singapore’s presence, reputation, and impact through strategic public relations, communication, and marketing initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Develop and execute Caritas Singapore’s public relations and communication strategies, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and goals.
  • Manage media relations, drafting press releases, and coordinating media outreach to enhance visibility and awareness of Caritas Singapore's programs and initiatives.
  • Oversee the creation of compelling content across digital and traditional platforms, including website updates, newsletters, brochures, social media, and other communication channels.
  • Lead the development and execution of marketing campaigns to promote Caritas Singapore's services, fundraising events, and community engagement efforts.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including senior management, to craft key messages and communications that reflect the organisation's values and mission.
  • Monitor media coverage and public opinion, preparing reports and suggesting proactive strategies to protect and enhance Caritas Singapore’s brand reputation.
  • Support the planning and coordination of events, press conferences, and other promotional activities.

Requirements

Operations and Building Services Technician

We are looking for a passionate candidate to join us in our operations at Caritas Agape Village in Toa Payoh in ensuring that all building maintenance tasks are effectively managed for the smooth and efficient functioning of the building.

Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Conduct routine building inspections to pinpoint maintenance and safety concerns.
  • Organise and carry out preventive and corrective repairs for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and structural issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inventory, and service contracts while managing schedules.
  • Address maintenance emergencies promptly to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Evaluate and present quotations for management approval, ensuring cost-effective solutions.

Requirements

Minimum Diploma in Accounting or equivalent professional qualification.

  • Diploma or equivalent in facilities & estate management.
  • Preferably, candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. However, new graduates in relevant disciplines are also encouraged to apply.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with different levels of stakeholders.
  • Computer literate in MS office applications and ability to interpret as-built drawings and schematics for building and electrical services.
  • The position entails working on weekends/after office hours, with compensatory off-days during the work week.
